  • How long have you been taking photos?

    went full time est. 2020. 

  • Do you travel?

    Please, actually. Would die to. 


    Based in Columbus, Ohio. But wherever you want me, I will be there.


    Travel expenses will just be added to your package. If I am driving to site you will be charged .67 cent per mile. 


    If I am flying in - this would just be a round trip ticket, a rental car, and accommodations. 


  • What is your turn-around time?

    For wedding albums - Traces will send ya sneak previews within 72 hours - to keep the excitement alive + post to show all your peeps. 


    standard turn-around time for all albums is 6-8 weeks. Up to 10 weeks during busier seasons. 

  • How many photos do we get back?

    Depending on your event, in camera we shoot anywhere from 800-5,000 photos. 


    We pick out all the goodies, even blurry and out-of-focus images if they’re purposeful. Typically 40-100 images per hour shot. 


    (so let's say you book an 8 hour wedding. you're looking at a 600-900 image photo album)

  • How do we get our photos?

    A stork will drop them off at your front door when they’re ready. 


    Ha, only joking. 


    Your album will be sent by email as a digital album where you have access to download them at high-resolution. You can order prints directly from the site. You can also use this link to share with your friends and family so they have access to the album! 

  • Do you do re-touching or photoshop?

    Being photographed is a vulnerable process. You're being seen. 


    We are preventative during the shooting process. In camera, we will make sure to photograph you at flattering, story-telling angles. Paying attention to detail. We will tell you if you have spinach in your teeth, your fly is down, or your hair needs to be tossled. 


    As far as photoshop -  If It’s a small blemish, we will retouch skin. Traces does not participate in photoshopping or munipultating the body. 


    Traces wants the images to feel true to you, not overly re-touched. 

  • How do we book you?

    Usually we start off with an email, and then some sort of get-to-know you phone call or facetime. It's valuable to us to know you personally before working with you. 


    I can answer all your questions, understand better what you’re looking for + see if we are a good fit. 


    The booking process is super easy.  You'll be sent over a contract + invoice where you put down a booking deposit. And you got it baby. The rest of the payment is not due until closer to the shooting date. 

  • How far out do you book?

    For smaller albums we could book anywhere from 2-8 weeks ahead of time! Depends on how busy the season is, and where you are located. 


    For weddings typically a 6 months- year ahead of your wedding date. But due to the current state of the world (hello - covid) we have also booked weddings just one month ahead of time. 


    So just tell us what ya need, what's goin on! We can sort all the details out. 

  • Do you give back raw images?

    Traces does not give back any raw images. Part of hiring a professional photographer is trusting their process. Knowing you'll recieve the highest quality and quantity, in the eyes of the artist. 

  • How do payments work?

    Weddings: 

    When you book you’ll pay 30% towards the total cost as the booking fee, and the rest will be paid a month before you wedding date. 


    Everything else: 

    When you book you’ll pay 30% towards the total cost as the booking fee, and the rest will be paid 2 weeks before the session. 

  • But what do we wear!??

    OHHH yeah let’s talk wardrobe baby. 


    The most important factor is feeling comfortable and confident.

    Don’t worry— Traces has wardrobe guide. We can send you inspiration for a collection of clothing vibes, and generally what to avoid. 


    and we would be more than excited to style you! 


    Outfit changes are encouraged— we can shoot something more casual + a whimsical out of the ordinary fit. Don't limit yourself :) 

  • What do we do if we need to cancel or reschedule?

    No worries darlings - communicate your needs, and circumstances + everything can be settled. 


    Within a cancellation, your down deposit when booked is legally non-refundable. 

    For a reschedule, your deposit when booking is valid for your rescheduled date.
